KATE MOSS (above)
ph: The Street Muse
When I was younger, I never was a big fan of fur. My parents bought me a few coats, but I always felt really, really weird wearing fur. I felt almost as if I was overdressed and people would perceive me as trying to be overtly fancy. As a kid I was even laughed at a few times for wearing fur, but as an adult, I have changed my mind and couldn't care less what others think. I am an animal lover, so these days well constructed faux fur is my preference.
Recently supermodel and fashion icon Kate Moss was photographed wearing multicolored fur, so if she wears it, it MUST be trending. I must admit, a really gorgeous multicolored vest is a cool statement piece to own. I was inspired by this look which I pinned to Polyvore, and I may try to find a similar look. What are your thoughts? Are you eccentric enough to ever try multicolored fur?

"When I Start to Care....Then I Find There is No One There. But I Think of You, and I Know We Are Something New. We Get Higher and Higher. Crazy Blue Like St. Elmo's Fire. Love is So Sharp and Flat. That It's Hard to Know Just Where You're At..."

This song is about more than self medicating. It's about grieving, coping, and missing someone who's never coming back that you love so much to the point you will do different things to try to forget about them. Even if it's momentarily and fleeting.

I'm a Floridian, and it may never get cold enough here for me to actually pull this off. But if I could, I'm loving these two inspired looks. So...How are you rocking your beanie this fall?

Concerts are once in lifetime experiences ideal for letting loose and expressing your personal style. Before the show, plan your outfit ahead by browsing previous events at the concert venue, or watch some of the performer’s music videos on YouTube for inspiration. Here are a few easy tips. Just dress how you would dress if you and the artist were besties who shop together all the time. And because you never know how long you will be standing or walking at a concert, began choosing your ensemble with comfortable shoes and work up to the top. Try to avoid large purses, sky high heels, and large hats. If you pick to wear flip flops or open toe shoes, keep in mind, space can get limited and you are more likely to get stepped on accidentally. Stick with low wedges or heels, comfortable boots, or sneakers for a concert occasion.

I have always admired
any person with the confidence to be truly different and daring, especially
when it comes to personal appearance. It
takes so much bravery to step out of the box against the norm. Over the past year
or so, I noticed more than ever an abundance of women showing off brightly
colored hairstyles. Some celebs have even perfected the look such as Kelis, Rhianna,
Nikki Minaj, and Ke$ha. It took years to catch on, but pigmented hair seems to
be going mainstream now.
Now don’t take this
the wrong way, but I remember when brightly colored hair was considered ghetto
fabulous, tacky, or reserved for punk rock enthusiasts. Honestly I actually think
it’s pretty fashionable if dyed correctly. It shows the person is a risk-taker
and doesn’t care what others think.

Show off your summer sneaker style this year. Relaxed and versatile, sneakers can be rocked a multitude of ways. They are perfect for concerts, shopping, and site-seeing. For day or night, pair your favorite printed sneakers with a sexy LBD. You can go grunge with a denim dress and waist tie. And if you love the minimalist look, pair all gray with classic Chuck Taylor's or Keds.
Stay cute, casual, and comfortable my friends.

Get your androgyny on. Try a bold colored suit and be effortlessly chic!
Did you know?
Created in 1966 by famous couturier Yves Saint Laurent, the Le Smoking tuxedo suit for women was the first of its kind to earn attention in the fashion world and in popular culture. It pioneered long, minimalist, androgynous styles for women, as well as the use of power suits and the pantsuit in modern-day society. Fashion photography echoes the influence of this suit in shoots that feature androgynous models with slicked-back hair in a mannish three-piece suit, a style that was first popularized in photographs by Helmut Newton. Yves Saint-Laurent was seen by many as having empowered women by giving them the option to wear clothes that were normally worn by men with influence and power.
This suit has continued to influence fashion designers' collections through the 2000s. In French and many other languages, the anglicism smoking is a generic colloquialism referring to any kind of tuxedo/black tie clothing.

- And whatever you do, DO NOT get intoxicated at the event.
